Healing Little Hearts

Who We Are – About

The Healing Little Hearts Story

We are a relatively small charity with a big ambition to become a global house hold name. Our primary aim is to ensure every child that needs heart surgery get’s it. We treat the poorest of children who come from families that do not have the resources to pay for their healthcare.

Healing Little Hearts (HLH) was launched as an official registered charity in 2007 (Charity No: 1130194) and we provide Free Heart Surgery to those that need it the most. Our work started out in India but recently we have branched out into Africa (Kenya, Tanzania), Maurituis and Malaysia.  We aim to branch out to other areas of the world in desperate need of our help.

Their Hearts, Your Support, Our Action

How we Help

We send teams of medical specialists to perform lifesaving heart surgery in centres situated in India, Africa (Kenya, Tanzania), Maurituis and Malaysia. Each team stays for one week and operates on between 10-12 children per trip; the precise numbers varies. We also train junior doctors and nurses in children’s heart care with the eventual aim of helping the centres to become more self-sustaining.

We are the only charity in the world that goes to these countries with such frequency to address this huge problem.

Give With Confidence – Give With Love

Benefits to the U.K

Working in highly pressurised hospitals, where the care is often substandard and facilities found lacking, ensures each team member has to rise to the challenge and raise their own performance. This gives them experience in an environment they normally wouldn’t get exposure to.

These skills are valuable right here in our own communities when they are caring for local children.
