Baby Arin Shinde, 8 weeks old weighing 3.7kg which incidentally is the same weight of average newborn babies, was born with a hole in the heart and a small Aorta. Aorta distributes oxygenated blood to all parts of the body being the main artery to the body.
HLH Medic’s at a recent visit to Ruby Hall Hospital operated on baby Arin on the 22nd of September. His procedure involved the Aorta being enlarged/expanded and the hole in the heart was closed.
Baby is going home today after only 3 weeks in hospital.
